Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026This Privacy Policy explains how Lasso Media, [Inc./LLC] (“Lasso,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information. It applies to the Lasso Media platform, our websites, the landing pages we host for our customers, and the call tracking numbers we provide (together, the “Service”). It is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions.
If you called a business and reached a Lasso tracking number, Section 4 is the part that concerns you. Your call was recorded, and that section explains what happens to the recording and how to have it deleted.
1.The three groups of people this policy covers
Lasso handles personal information about three different groups, and what we do differs for each:
Customers
Businesses and the people at them who create a Lasso account and buy a subscription.
Callers
People who call one of our customers on a Lasso tracking number. Callers do not have a relationship with Lasso and have not agreed to these terms; we record their calls on behalf of the business they called, and this policy tells them what we do with that recording.
Visitors
People who visit a landing page we host for a customer, or our own website.
2.Information we collect from customers
You give us: your name, business name, email address, phone number, business address, business details (services, hours, credentials, and similar), the website address you give us to pre-fill your details, images and logos you upload, and the content of messages you send us.
Your payment information is collected and processed by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment, the card type, and the last four digits — we do not store full card numbers.
We collect automatically: log-in records, IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed in the dashboard, and how you use the Service.
3.Information we collect from landing page visitors
When someone visits a landing page we host, we and our providers collect the IP address, browser and device information, the referring page, the advertisement or campaign that brought them, pages and buttons viewed or tapped, approximate location derived from IP address, and — where the visitor submits a form — whatever they enter, typically name, phone number, email address, and their message.
We and our advertising and analytics providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies on these pages. See Section 7.
4.Call recording, transcription, and automated insights — information about callers
What we collect. When someone calls a Lasso tracking number, we collect the caller’s phone number, the date, time, and length of the call, the number dialed and the business it routes to, and an audio recording of the call itself, including everything the caller and the business say.
Notice to callers. Before a call to a tracking number is connected, an automated message tells the caller that the call may be recorded. Our customers are also required by their agreement with us to comply with the call recording laws that apply where they and their callers are located.
Transcription and automated insights. Recordings are transcribed, summarized, and categorized by third-party transcription and artificial-intelligence providers working on our behalf under contract. The system writes a short summary of what the caller wanted and assigns the call to a category, which determines whether the call is counted as a lead. These summaries and categories are generated automatically and can be wrong.
What we do not do with call recordings. We do not sell call recordings or transcripts. We do not share them with advertising platforms. We do not use them for targeted advertising. We do not use them to train general-purpose artificial-intelligence models, and our transcription providers are contractually prohibited from doing so. We do not use them to build profiles of callers, and we do not use them for any purpose other than delivering call reporting to the business the caller called.
Who can hear the recording. The Lasso customer whose tracking number was called, and the team members they have invited to their account. Lasso staff, where needed to operate, support, or troubleshoot the Service. Our telephony and transcription providers, to the extent needed to process the call.
Sensitive information in calls. A caller may say something sensitive during a call — about their health, their finances, or anything else. We do not ask for this, we do not use it to infer anything about the caller, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond reporting the call to the business. If you are a caller and a recording contains something you want removed, see Section 10.
How long we keep it. Recordings and transcripts are deleted twelve (12) months after the date of the call. Our telephony provider applies its own retention period, which may be shorter.
5.How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and administer accounts, and authenticate users;
- build, publish, run, and optimize advertising campaigns and landing pages for our customers;
- provide call tracking, forward calls, and produce call reporting, recordings, transcripts, summaries, and categories;
- take payment, bill subscriptions, and manage renewals, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations;
- send service communications about accounts, campaigns, reports, and billing;
- provide support and respond to requests;
- measure, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unlawful activity; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
6.Artificial intelligence and automated processing
We use artificial-intelligence tools in three places, and we want to be specific about them:
- Preparing campaign content. We may generate advertising headlines, descriptions, keywords, and service lists for a customer, and read the website a customer gives us to pre-fill their business details. Customers are responsible for checking this content.
- Transcribing calls. Recordings are converted to text automatically.
- Summarizing and categorizing calls. The system produces a short summary of each call and assigns a category that determines whether the call counts as a lead.
These processes are automated and can produce incomplete or inaccurate results. They do not produce legal or similarly significant decisions about any individual. Call recordings and transcripts are not used to train general-purpose artificial-intelligence models.
7.Cookies, pixels, and advertising technologies
On our own website and on the landing pages we host for customers, we and our providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to make pages work, measure traffic, and measure whether an advertisement produced a call or a form submission.
These include advertising platform pixels — for example conversion tracking from the platforms where a customer’s campaign runs. These pixels allow the advertising platform to receive information about a visitor’s activity on the landing page, including identifiers, IP address, device information, and the fact that a conversion occurred. The platform may combine that information with information it already holds and use it for its own advertising purposes, under its own privacy policy.
Under California law, this counts as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and under some other state laws as “targeted advertising.” You can opt out — see Section 11 and our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request on the browser that sends it.
8.How we share information
We share personal information with:
- Our customers. Call records, recordings, transcripts, summaries, categories, form submissions, and campaign performance for their own business only. Customers never see another customer’s data.
- Service providers working for us under contract: hosting and infrastructure, telephony and call routing, call transcription and artificial-intelligence processing, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, and customer support tools. They may use the information only to perform services for us.
- Advertising platforms, as described in Section 7, and to run and measure campaigns.
- Legal and safety recipients — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lasso, our customers, or others.
- In a business transaction — if Lasso is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in Section 7. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.
9.How long we keep information
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Call recordings and transcripts | 12 months from the date of the call |
| Call metadata, summaries, and categories | Kept with account and campaign data |
| Account and campaign data, after cancellation | 24 months, then deleted |
| Landing page visitor analytics | Aggregated or de-identified; identifiers deleted with the campaign data |
| Billing and transaction records | As required by tax and accounting law |
| Support correspondence | 24 months |
We keep information longer only where we are required to by law, or where we need it to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements. Third-party providers apply their own retention periods, which may be shorter than ours.
10.Your choices
Customers can review and update most account and business information in the dashboard, cancel at any time, and ask us to delete account data sooner than the periods in Section 9 by contacting privacy@lasso.media.
Callers can ask for a recording of their call to be deleted, either by contacting Lasso directly at privacy@lasso.media or by asking the business they called, which can pass the request to us. Either route works. Tell us the phone number you called from and roughly when you called, so we can find the recording. We will delete it unless we are required to keep it by law or need it to resolve a dispute.
Visitors can control cookies through browser settings, use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or send a Global Privacy Control signal.
Service emails about a customer’s account, campaigns, reports, and billing cannot be turned off while the account is active. Any marketing emails we send have an unsubscribe link.
11.Your state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. These rights are available to callers and visitors as well as customers — you do not need an account with us.
- Know and access — what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
- Delete — ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
- Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Portability — receive a copy in a portable format.
- Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising — see Section 7 and the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, so this right does not change our practices, but you may still exercise it.
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.
- Appeal — if we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will respond within the period your state’s law allows.
How to submit a request. Email privacy@lasso.media, or call +1 (512) 277-5411. We will verify your identity before acting — for a call recording, that usually means confirming the phone number you called from. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend once where the law permits.
California residents: the categories of personal information we collect, our purposes, and the categories we disclose and share are described in Sections 2 through 8, which together serve as our notice at collection. We have disclosed identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, approximate geolocation, and audio information to the categories of recipients listed in Section 8 in the past 12 months, and have shared identifiers and internet activity for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Nevada residents may submit a request not to sell covered information to privacy@lasso.media.
When Lasso acts for a customer. For some information — particularly form submissions and information a customer uploads about their own contacts — Lasso acts as a service provider to that customer. If you ask us for information a customer controls, we will pass your request to that customer and tell you we have done so.
12.Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls limiting who can reach call recordings, and vetting of the providers who process data for us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13.Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us — including by calling a tracking number — contact privacy@lasso.media and we will delete it.
14.Other websites
Our landing pages, our website, and our customers’ campaigns may link to sites we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their practices.
15.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we will give customers notice through the Service or by email before they take effect.
